Kiwi Collective
this is a wee mix of many thing's 'Kiwi'.
The native bush, which is thick and lush and georgeous to walk through..if you can find a path! :)
the unfurling baby fern frond's...or Koru..which are in many way's, a National symbol of new growth etc.
The red strip which could be symbolic of the blood shed in history, on this land and side-by-side in the world war's. And the blue symbolising the wonderful new day and future that this beautiful country can have as we walk together... as the woven flax sums up..a fabric made from different and seperate strands.
Didn't intentionally set out with any 'statement's' in mind when I did this, it just came together.
..... Proven by the band up the left hand side..it's just some colour's that I liked..! :)

kiwi themes
a mixture of all things kiwi.koru, flax, native bush etc. I see red as representing the bloodshed ans struggle that took to forge a new nation,a naseline, our history, and the blue as two things; water that washes old hurts away, and blue sky for a new day and new future,,Gold bar......because we are precious,as all peoples are.

listen for the Fantail
when walking through the NZ bush, you will more than likely be ′escourted′ by our darling wee Fantail. If you don′t see him, chances are you will hear his distincive call (or squeak) somewhere behind you as he enjoys finding the bugs and worms etc your feet have dislodged as you walk. Take the time, to stop and listen.......
