Hello Again Everyone

Well 2010 has started with some really great news. Firstly, a company called Bajidoo Bangle Boutique are working with me to produce the most gorgeous bangles with my artwork. Bajidoo also make amazing earrings and necklaces. They have to be seen to be believed so visit their website http://www.Bajidoo.com and click on Featured Artists. There is also a video on You Tube showing the bangles in all of their glory here

As you will see, art can be wearable and I am in good company with some amazing artists from New Zealand.

So if you have some of my artwork or are thinking of owning one in the future, then you are now able to have that artwork decorating your wrist as well as your home. It′s a wonderful opportunity for me and something so very different, so I hope that you agree and visit the site and maybe have a great idea for a present for that someone special.

The next bit of great news is that The Art Bay Corporate and Public Art have been in contact with me. They work conventionally as a gallery but also supply large scale corporate and public art installations and have invited me to join their portfolio of corporate and public artists. My work will be presented to regeneration committees across the UK for large scale public installation and to private enterprises across the UK as large scale corporate art. So you could see a very large ′Speed′ or ′Ooh La La′ in the UK. You can see here, what work they do and the artists that they support www.creativestoke.co.uk, www.theartbay.co.uk and www.fanaticart.co.uk

I am also working with an author who has written a book about the life of Kurt Cobain. The artwork that he has requested is a little different, to say the least, but has been an enjoyable process for me. I will put up details on my exhibitions page as soon as I can. The book launch and exhibition of the artwork is in Wellington on 5th April 2010.

The one thing that I am always happy to do is commission work, where I paint or draw what someone really wants, to the style that they want and the colours, size or pretty much whatever they want. The collaboration process is wonderful to work in, listening and then creating something very meaningful to that person. I have also managed a few paintings since Christmas, although not as much as I would have hoped for. I still have 5 to finish, one of the drawbacks of painting in oils and waiting for them to dry before continuing, so I normally intersperse with an acrylic or drawing.

Well all for now and remember to keep in touch. Take care everyone. Rosie
