Becky De Co is a commissioned painting of Becky Lewis for her 18th Birthday. Her Father, Chris arranged for her to sit for me and I painted her in the Art Deco style she loves. For her Birthday, she was given the pearl necklace that she is wearing in the painting.
Becky was a complete delight to paint and to this day remains one of my favourite commissions.

Rajas Servant
It is spring in Bangladesh some time in the distant past when all around was a wonderful time and the people were happy and joyful as the Raja had just taken a wife.
The scene was set for joyous dancing and singing and all around the palace; life took on a new beginning. Guests were arriving on elephants for the celebrations, the Palace musicians were playing, the dancers were dancing, the servants were going about their busy duties, the boats were mooring in the Palace estuary loaded with gifts for the happy couple, the Rickshaws were busy transporting people to and fro and the wild animals that lived around the Palace relaxed in the warm spring sunshine. The Raja and Rani were bathed in the love of their people and settled down to a beautiful life in the Palace.
Mr Miah commissioned me to paint a story book of a Raja and his Palace to compliment his Raja Restaurant in Knebworth, Hertfordshire. There are 8 paintings in total.. Print Available - Email Your Request

Fall from Grace

Most of my work is produced on large canvas sizes, so this was a challenge for me so I chose rough canvas which has a lot of body to compensate for the small image that I painted onto it. In a way I felt that it was in need of nourishment I suppose. It was fun to do and there are four of these little paintings. Small does not necessarily mean quicker though as this painting took a month to complete and a certain amount of eye strain.

Inflamed.
Underlying passion, the power of dance The steps that they take are not purely by chance The flow of the blood, the heat of the floor The sound of the music urges them more
They blend together, two bodies as one She is all his now, its just begun
Oblivious to others they strut and sway Applause will echo at their splendid display.

Painting arrived this morning. Worth the wait. Absolutely lovely painting, colours and subject. Just as I imagined it. Thanks for all your help. I wish you well for the future and who knows, I may be in touch for another painting as and when we change the house decor.

Hi Rosie, Sorry to have taken my time to comment on the picture I bought from you before Xmas for my daughter. I could have sold it on 10 times over as so many people fell in love with it. My daughter loves it and it was the first picture up on the wall the same day she moved to a new apartment last week. I still get a lot of pleasure from seeing it every time I visit. Hope this finds you well and painting. Smiles x

Rachel Goldstone is now the proud owner of this painting.

Hi Rosie

I bought your A Day in a Life painting at the Dunkleys Craft Show on Saturday. It is a fantastic depiction of daily life in Africa and I have had many people comment on how different it is to other African paintings with it's vibrant colours and the collage of images. A few have even said how nice it would look in their house, but it is going to be proudly hung on my living room wall as soon as I get one.. Print Available - Email Your Request

Dreamscape - Just wanted to tell you your painting called dreamscape put a big smile on my face today. I am a professional musican who wrote a song called sleep to dream based on a dream I had. The fascinating thing is that today I was surfing the internet looking for new artists with interesting work and I stumbled across your painting. The dream is exactly the same as the painting same color bed and sheet and well...everything. Their was no roof above me and the clouds were smiling down. I hope Im not coming across to weird, but I just wanted to tell you it is a marvelous painting. What an interesting connection.
Just wanted to let you know that the beautiful painting arrived It is hanging in our bedroom now, but I may move it to my studio room, I have not yet decided. Everyone who sees it, also loves it. They are also very intrigued about the story as to how and why the painting was obtained.

Kurt Cobain - Lithium
I′m so happy
Cause today I found my friends
They′re in my head
I′m so ugly
But that′s ok, ′cause so are you
We′ve broke our mirrors
Sunday morning
Is everyday for all I care
And I′m not scared
Light my candles
In a daze ′cause I′ve found god
Yeah he he yeah
I′m so lonely and
That′s ok, I shaved my head
And I′m not sad
And just maybe
I′m to blame for all I′ve heard
And I′m not sure
I′m so excited
I can′t wait to meet you there
And I dont′ care
I′m so horny but
That′s ok, my will is good
Yeah he he yeah

Suzie De Co. Oil on Canvas.
From Anne Beech, Glasgow, Scotland, owner of Suzie De Co. We had to call a plumber out because of heating problems. He duly arrived and walked into the hall and that was it. It was about 5 minutes before we could persuade him to stop looking at the painting of Suzie de co and go off and fix the pipes (he did eventually) he was so taken with her that I showed him Sophie too. My husband got so excited that he even showed him Society magazine with Suzie's picture on the cover. That just about tipped our plumber over the edge!!! I think you have another fan!!! Next time we call out a workman I'm taking her off the wall!!! Actually, if I was offered £thousands for her I wouldn't sell.. Print Available - Email Your Request

Death of Gala represents the utter desolation of Salvador Dali upon the death of his beloved wife Gala. I have used several pieces of his artworks within this painting to represent how they now all mean nothing to him without his muse.
From the owner Mark Hensley, Michigan, USA - A man like Dali would have been madly in love with Gala! At the point of her death he would have been thrown into a deep and lingering DEPRESSION! I feel it is a self portrait, at that exact time of his life. As if he took over your soul for a brief moment, just long enough to paint his most inner pain and loss. Do you feel like you had master control of your brush stoke, light stokes when needed, but then heavier when called for ?? Well anyways, you can see it provoked inner thoughts of my own. Is not that the mark of a great piece of art!!. Print Available - Email Your Request
